I tried writing this page in the third person and it just didn’t sound right, so I shall tell you about myself.

I am originally from London, England and currently live in Dublin, Ireland with my lovely and long suffering girlfriend and our crazy puppy, Watson. We have also had a recent addition to the family in the form of our gorgeous daughter, Grace.

I have worked in restaurants all my life, most recently as sommelier in a Michelin recognised gastro pub. After a bit of soul searching I decided to give up the ghost and pack in the evening and weekend work to now work in wine sales for a small importer. I now work for myself providing wine list consultancy to restaurants, bars, pubs and hotels in Ireland and back this up with staff training.

This blog is my own thoughts and experiences of wine and is completely independent of any influence other than my own opinions.
